Our Mission
Our mission is to help Old Brooklyn residents understand Ohio's medical cannabis certification process through accurate information, convenient physician access, and straightforward patient guidance.
Old Brooklyn has a distinctive history and neighborhood form. The city's planning materials describe a primarily residential community bordered and shaped by Big Creek, regional highways, river valleys, and long-standing commercial corridors. Pearl Road, Broadview Road, State Road, and Memphis Avenue remain important parts of the neighborhood's physical identity.
We aim to make current information about eligibility, physician recommendations, registration, possession limits, fees, and renewal easier for local patients to understand.
Who We Are
We provide medical cannabis information and certification support for Old Brooklyn residents considering Ohio's medical marijuana program.
Our content is written around the neighborhood itself. Old Brooklyn's history includes the early settlement around what is now the Pearl and Broadview intersection, the expansion of residential development during the twentieth century, and the greenhouse industry that once occupied large areas near Schaaf Road.
The neighborhood also benefits from direct regional transportation access through I-71, I-480, and State Route 176, while the Big Creek and Cuyahoga River valleys form major natural features nearby.
Our Commitment
We are committed to giving Old Brooklyn patients clear and current information about Ohio medical cannabis requirements while respecting privacy and the medical judgment of authorized physicians.
That includes distinguishing state registration requirements from provider charges, updating legal information when state rules change, explaining patient responsibilities clearly, and avoiding promises of approval before a physician completes an appropriate medical evaluation.
Joining Hands with the Community
Old Brooklyn continues to receive attention through city neighborhood and economic-development programs. The city currently includes Old Brooklyn among its designated Middle Neighborhoods, where municipal efforts focus on housing stability, partnerships, resources, and neighborhood vitality.
Current city investment also reaches Old Brooklyn's commercial community. In 2026, the city announced another round of Steelyard TIF grants supporting neighborhood businesses and placemaking projects in Old Brooklyn and several other communities.
Our goal is to complement those neighborhood resources with reliable medical cannabis information that helps residents understand certification, legal requirements, patient costs, and renewal.
Our Vision
Our vision is for Old Brooklyn residents considering medical cannabis to have straightforward access to accurate program information and qualified medical evaluation.
As Ohio's cannabis laws continue to develop, patients should be able to understand the requirements currently in effect and discuss treatment decisions with appropriately authorized medical professionals.
